Active 60+.
Stay Strong.
Stay Mobile. Stay You.
Sixty is not what it used to be. Active adults in their 60s and 70s today travel, hike, garden, chase grandkids, walk the bike trail, and have decades of life ahead. Active 60+ is the strength, mobility, and balance program built to support that life — not slow it down.
Real Training, Senior-Friendly,
Without The Patronizing
Active 60+ is a strength and mobility program for adults 60 and over who want to keep training seriously — not be handed pink dumbbells and a chair-yoga schedule. The intensity is appropriate to your decade. The progression is steady. The respect for what you can already do is total.
If you are 62 and just retired with energy to burn, 68 and recovering from a hip replacement, or 73 and trying to stay ahead of the slow drift — Active 60+ scales to you. Our trainers have worked with adults across the entire spectrum from “still running 5Ks” to “walking with a cane.” The program is built around your starting point, not a generic curriculum.
Strength training in your 60s and 70s is the single most evidence-backed intervention for healthy aging. It out-performs cardio for bone density, balance, fall prevention, mood, and longevity. The sooner you start, the more it returns. The earliest “too old” age in the research is “never.”
The Five Things That Matter Most
Strength
Squats, hinges, presses, rows — scaled to where you are. Most adults 60+ have meaningful strength to gain in the first year. Bone density, hormone profile, and joint stability all benefit. Equipment depth matters here, and we have it.
Balance & Fall Prevention
Single-leg work, proprioception drills, controlled instability training. Falls are the leading cause of injury hospitalization for adults 65+. The right training meaningfully reduces that risk.
Mobility
Hip, shoulder, ankle, thoracic spine. The mobility work that lets you tie your shoes, reach the top shelf, get off the floor, and play with grandkids without bracing on the furniture.
Posture & Alignment
Counters the forward-rounded position decades of computer work, driving, and reading produce. Pulling work, thoracic mobility, neck and head positioning. You will stand taller in 90 days.
Cardiovascular Capacity
Walking is great. Adding short bursts of higher-intensity work two times a week has outsized benefits for heart health, mitochondrial function, and recovery from anything that knocks you down.
A Real Senior Gym Membership
To Match The Program
Active 60+ training pairs naturally with our Silver Strong 65+ membership: weekday access during the quietest hours (9:30a-2:30p), included personal trainer fitness assessment, pause up to 90 days/year, no contract. Most active 60+ members train this slot.
Learn About Silver StrongFAQ
I am 70 and have not been to a gym in 30 years. Will I be out of place?
No. Active 60+ members are our fastest-growing segment, and the Silver Strong 9:30a-2:30p window is built specifically for this crowd. You will train alongside other adults in your decade, with trainers who specialize in this population. Your free trial includes a fitness assessment that walks you through what to expect.
I had a knee replacement / hip replacement / heart procedure. Is strength training safe?
Almost always yes — properly programmed, strength training is one of the most effective interventions for post-surgical recovery and long-term function. Our trainers work routinely with post-replacement and post-cardiac patients. Bring your discharge notes and any restrictions from your doctor or PT, and we will build a program that works inside those guardrails. Post-PT Comeback is a related program if you are coming off active rehab.
Do I need to be already in shape?
No. Most adults starting Active 60+ are not in shape — that is often why they are starting. The program scales to your current capacity. The first month focuses on movement quality, building tolerance to training, and basic strength. The pace gets steadier from there.
Do you accept SilverSneakers, Renew Active, or Silver&Fit?
Not currently. GForce is not a participating gym for those programs. Silver Strong is our private alternative for adults 65+ who want a real gym experience instead of a chain.
My spouse and I want to train together. Can we?
Yes — many couples in their 60s and 70s train together at GForce. Joint personal trainer assessments are easy to schedule. Our Family Membership at $299/month covers up to 4 household members.
